I like that, more useful than the MUT or the EOD

It would have been nice if they had put a saw in there instead of one of the blades.

Or the file. My first thought was it was geared towards armorers, rather than troops in the field. I agree with an above poster though, much more useful than an EOD tool.

I like it. Reminds me of my MP600ST, but a lot more general-purpose; as the scraper is actually designed to be an awl as well (which on the MP600 it is not) and the sight tool is integrated into the bit extender (as opposed to the MP600, in which it is a clunky, onboard tool).

While I still prefer my traditional ST300, I may very well pick up one of these. Now, when are we getting a T-shank adapter on a civilian ST300 model? That's the one tool I want to see on an ST300 other than the EOD model.

The awl/sail needle is really nice. As far as the scraper part of it goes though, boots need to quitfiring all those blanks in training.

They could have made this a real winner with the t shank adapter and the bit holder. Diamond file and saw.

I begged them to get a diamond file over the file they use in the ST300...no excuse why its not there. None.

I tried the one on my MP600ST on both the MP600ST, and MP400 (guessing early '00s?) and an MP450. Neither one of its two different sizes of sight adjustment wrench worked.

Unless they are going after military contracts, which may be the case, this would seem to have a fairly limited market.

Thanks for clearing up my question, cody.  :tu:

Oh well, now I do not have a justification for buying a new tool then.

Please correct me if I´m wrong, as far as I understand Gerber is the official US ARMY multitool provider right?
Does Leatherman is trying to get a piece of the cake?
I tought that the MUT was the military multitiool version which in my opinion it's a very robust tool but with very limited capabilities!
EXPENSIVE, but a nice piece to have.
Mine is the EOD version and I would like to change my pliers to the normal version, but who knows, maybe will just trade it!

Wow. This is pretty exciting. I like the site-tool adapter. The awl looks massive - I assume this is also the carbon scraper but hopefully it is not hardened otherwise it could mar the metal of your weapon. Also, a pry tool similar to the one found on the Center Drive. Look at Leatherman low-key clapping back! Lol

I would point out that not very many in the military actually need a "weapons centric" multitool. More of us work in a support function, I myself am a Fuels SpeSmurfpillst. Many are chefs, medical, maintainers, etc... Even the Security Forces I know, don't carry a weapon specific tool. So this is probably aimed more at ordinary gun people. There is a market for this type of tool.
