Understood my friend.  They are quite the tool, I only had one for years.  Then along came MTo and well all I can say is Be Carefull, they have a way of multiplying.

Yeah, I can see that. Swisstools and MTo have that effect
Gotta admit, after handling the Swisstool, the Spirit now feels very light and small  :D

The Spirit is a prety Heavy duty tool compaired to most others in it's size catagory.  I think most poeple do consider it a compaact heavy duty tool.  After carying and torturing my Swisstool for 20 years I consider the Spirit a top end Medium duty tool and the Swisstool the epitomy of a HEAVY DUTY tool.  The Surge has a few features that put it along side the Swisstool but for the most part I prefer the Swisstool.  If I'm going heavy duty (I'm going to be doing daily service work in the field) it's the Swisstool, then the Spirit for regular daily carry.

:iagree: I also realized the other day that one can use the Swisstool as a 90degree angle, when only half unfolded. Maybe not very precise, but for a quick check very handy  :tu:

Yes, they do, or at least the Spirit does.

That feature was actually designed in and is very accurate in all the tests I have done with mine.  To the best of my knowlege it's a feature no other multitool has, at least I've never seen it on another one.

Absolutely, that's why I'm playing the Madness Card.  I already have both 30 Day challenge badges and I'm hoping the Mods will see fit to create collectors badges for the Swisstool and Spirit.  :pok: :pok:

Any Mods listening?

I might add the auction went really well.  I got that second one (there's a surprise I'll show when it arrives) by a whopping 20 cents in the last 4 seconds.  All because I like whole numbers and almost always add enough change to make my maximum bid plus shipping to equal the next wholoe dollar amount.  Oh and the fist one the seller took an offer of $5.00 under an already low asking price.  Low, just not insanly low, so I feel it was also a win/win.

Very generious of you.   :twak: :twak:
DONATIONS to the collection would be apprectiated though.
I am the same way on the rounding it up!

I do the same with tips in a restaurant and I refuse to use a calculator.  It helps keep my math skills sharp. Although I think my knives are still sharper.

No ninja'ing from this one, but yep I'm in trouble now.  Two in one day, means I'll be spinning a LOT of  straw for a while...

What's the wholesale value of gold straw, $1/10ft?
Hooked, like everyone else. ;)

All hail the hook!

Personally, I like the patina on the first one.  It shows a well used and appreciated tool.  Tools like that have a story to tell.  That's one reason that ALL of the Swisstools and Spirits on my collection are used and most have at least some patina.
