Sadly, an ambulance had to come by for a checkup.
All is well again, but it turned sideways way too fast all of the sudden and I didn't feel like taking any chances...

Haven't been to this thread lately, and just read about Mrs. Mechanical.  Hope you and Mrs. will get better soon.  My thoughts are with you and your family.

I’m doing fine.  I normally keep a stock of necessities anyway and haven’t really gone anywhere since I had to pick-up some medication refills two weeks ago.

I’m more concerned with some family and friends, especially my littlest brother.  Delqwon has both a compromised immunity and respiratory issues so he has been on lockdown for a few weeks.  He doesn’t really realize what is going on so it makes it even harder on him.  My daily talks on the phone with him have turned into twice a day, because talking on the phone is one thing he really enjoys.

Stay safe everyone and well wishes for quick healing for Mrs. Mechanikal.
I hope he and your family will stay safe too, personally, I think it is too optimistic to expect all the lockdowns to be lifted by Easter, and I'd rather be safe than sorry.  Please stay safe and best wishes.

Sorry to hear about the sudden turn, but glad it is well now.  Hope for fast healing for you both.

Thanks.  I think Easter is also too optimistic, especially with so many people out and about.

Her breathing improved again, which is good. But she's feeling rather miserable and has aches all through her body.

Meanwhile, my breathing declined but I'm feeling well otherwise. So I'm starting to rest more, but taking care of her too since that's still perfectly possible.

Sounds like a typical case , hope you guys rest and inhale the water and vitamins and keep on recovering.  All the best to the Mechy household
Edit - just saw your post re the ambulance , good call on getting onto it smartly , better safe than sorry. Here's hoping that's the last excitement you have of that nature

A hug to all of you friends.

I'm in the nort West of Italy. School was closed in the beginning of March. Then later school was closed everywhere in Italy, and also closed some non essential activities.
People still dying, but the growth curve of the dead seems to be falling. It is early to understand if we are in the right way.
It's Hard to find masks, the ffp2 and ffp3 are destinated to doctor, nurse, etc, and the surgical masks are very expensive compared to the price of two or 3 months ago.
It's hard also for children, they can see friends only with videocall.
People with special needs, that needs home carers for example , are among those who are suffering the most, also with those who have had to stop their work.

We weren't ready for all of this.

Lucky me and my family are fine, and my days are busy and pass quickly because I have to take care of them and I have a lot to do.

As Mini said, we are living hard time here in Italy; no one knows what will be in 30 days or in 2 months. We are living day by day. I stop my job as many Italians and we are waiting for good news so far. Wish us good luck

First time seeing this thread.

I hope you and your wife pull through this Mechanickal. Sending good vibes your way.

As for me, work has been closed for two weeks beyond March break which we had 2 weeks ago. Now on our third week off. The Ontario Government has recently closed schools beyond the original 2 weeks after March break. No telling how education will go forth. Everyone is looking into some sort of e-learning/home schooling scenario. The issue, not everyone has access to computers and the internet. Only time will tell on what is going to happen. I know for myself, my Civics students were supposed to hand in their exam projects sometime mid April. no clue how that will turn out either. Staff has been instructed to not enter our workplace upon pains of severe punishment from our employer. Do not need to tell me twice.  :salute:

On the plus side, the other half and I are doing well. We are practicing social distancing as best we can.

On a fun light note through what awl are going through, today I spoke with the person handling my taxes. He had info for me to write down and I said "hang on, my swiss army knife doesn't have a pen". I spoke as if he didn't know what I was talking about and he said "mine does" Talked knives for bit then went back to business :tu:

:iagree: You just have to look to Italy to see how serious this is. And here we talk about re-opening everything so the economy doesn‘t hurt too much. You think countries in Europe closed their factories and almost shut their economy down because they had nothing else to do??  :twak:

We are not on lockdown yet, but I expect we will be soon, because people don‘t listen. Schools are closed, Restaurants and public places are shut down, yet our neighbors are having a barbecue party. It‘s like a holiday because the kids are home. Let‘s invite some friends!
Stores are picked clean of masks and hand sanitizer, to a point that hospitals cannot get supplies they need. But I have yet to see someone wearing a darn mask. Everybody bought food in quantities that will last them for months, but I guess it is all to have a barbecue party.

Common sense has left the building...

Same here. Not only on the weekend, but during the week, now. Since there's no place to go out to eat, let's have lunch together, sitting real close to each other and going from house to house.

 :twak: :twak: :twak: :twak:

I find I´m quite good at social distancing.

I´ve been doing it my whole life just wasn´t aware of it.

Stay safe you all.

I've been out once, since 17/03. Maybe I'll go to the pharmacy and supermarket today. It's been raining, less chance to find people out. The last weeks have been sunny and warm, we even had to close the roads alongside the beach, due to crowds forming there to enjoy the sun...

The growth rate seems to be a (very, very) little bit slower over here.

We had the first death on March 16th and on the 28th we got to 100. Yet, some people don't take this seriously...

Wishing all the best to everyone affected out there.
Especially our Italian members and the ones in and around New York.

For those interested:
Mrs Mechy is doing good today.
She's tired all the time but I feel she's way better than yesterday.
She's bossing me around and asking questions to the point it gets annoying

It's too soon to say she's only going to get better now since I heard people who are infected get lots of bad days with some good ones in between. So I can only hope... Tomorrow will bring more wisdom.

I'm feeling fine today. My throat aches are nearly gone and my breathing returned to normal.
I'm tired too, but get to bed early and sleep in (nowhere to go anyway  ) so that might be my saving... Alongside good food and HYDRATION!!

Stay healthy everyone!

Mechanickal, my heart goes out to you and your good lady wife, and to all of those hit by this terrible disease.

I live in Michigan, which is seeing increasing infection rates, and it's so sad to see families torn apart and lives upended.  Meanwhile, our governor issues a mandatory stay-at-home warning and some folks suspect a plot.  WTF?
