Crescent H.K. Porter Wire cutters...

These may be to wire cutting what the Knipex Cobra XS  is to pocket pliering!

And found them at Tractor Supplies’ budget table for $14.99!

Small wire cutters that cut big!

It’s probably old news to most, but I was surprised to see big bolt cutters shrunk down to hand size! I mean these things cut waaaaay better than traditional wire cutters.

Not sure if they will have a long life, but at this price one can buy more. I haven’t checked if Knipex has gone this route.

Would really like to see Crescent/HK Porter take these down from 6 to 4 inch length.

And these would be a SUPER challenge for the engineer designers of either Leatherman or Victorinox to try to scale down further!! I am dreaming of my Cybertool-L having a teeny bolt cutter-design wire cutter on board!!

I have a set of these and they are the shizzle!

https://www.amazon.com/KNIPEX-95-61-190-US/dp/B000X4KPSA

Everything Knipex makes is though I think.
And Aircraft Cable or Wire Rope is a tough cut for sure usually but these are like Butta!

So many swear by Knipex that I will have to try some of their products.

H.K. Porter $14.99

Knipex $60 and change.

My guess is this Porter will keep up with the Knipex for ten cuts and then fall by the way side, while the Knipex will probably just keep on cutting for a decade.

But I will be interested to see how the bargain basket Porter holds up.

I have had mine for 10 plus years easily and they just work every time.
I might not need them for a while but then use them every day for 2 weeks on a job and I can count on them.
I gave up buying the cheapest a long time ago if I can help it.
Buy Once.Cry Once as they say!
