Hey everyone. I hope you are all both healthy and happy. Being at home means I don’t have to carry around nearly as much stuff all of the time. There are always other tools either within arm’s reach or just a couple of steps away.

I work in ‘Financial services’, so deemed ‘essential’. As a result my EDC has mostly been the same: Leatherman E55Bx, Leatherman Free P2, Leatherman Piranha and Bit Card, Bit Extender with Loggerheas ‘ratchet’ attachment, Listerine Strips, Ekster Vachetta Parliament, iFak (for scrapes, minor cuts), Rayban Aviators, was iPhone, Apple Watch and AirPods Pro.

While I always keep hand sanitizer in my bag, I also carry a packet in my pockets now.

Looking for the carry case for the GVS SPR457 Elipse P100 Half Mask so I can carry it every day.

I've been wearing a fixie while being at home. It's not something I can carry outdoors usually so it's been a good opportunity to try and EDC a fixie.

To be honest, so far, not sure. For urban use I simply can't see the utility vs a folder. Bigger and heavier and not really any faster.

Thanks Aloha. Lots of trial and error to find my ideal setup. Still tinker often, as I suspect we all do.

Thanks G-Dizzle. Took a while to work that out as I carry the LM Piranha, using 3M double sided tape, on the back of the bit card. I went through several iterations before settling on this solution. It%u2019s work really well for roughly 3 years.

Yep, I know where you’re coming from. Despite being in Britain, my lifestyle means that I could potentially carry a fixed almost all of the time. Plus, I was brought up doing so as a child.

However, I don’t find any need to do so! I’ll stick with my SAKs and trad folders :)

I am in a similar situation. Technically no need to carry a fixed blade. I like them though for a few cases. For example, everything that has to do with scraping, where you change direction frequently. Something i prefer to do with a fixed blade, As a folder might collapse on you if you are not careful.
Same goes for yard work. Digging and cutting roots, weeds and stuff like that. That way the dirt does not block the folding mechanism.

Are you also carrying a SAK/folder along with your fixed blade?  I ask because maybe the habit of reaching for the folder is what is making you unsure?  I realize a fixed blade is limited vs a SAK in options.  I like to carry both and tend to use my fixed blade to do the bulk of cutting.  I use SAK for detail.

Well, I prefer the Climber to the Tinker, but I carry it from time to time, too...
