Does your knife blade flex at the pivot? Flex enough that the scales move?

Just tested two, both of which are brand new and unused. Neither exhibits this. They're both rock solid; no flex or faults. Sounds like maybe you have a bad one?

Mine are good-to-go.
I will say that some of the Bantams had three rivets instead of four, so any error in setting the pins would, in theory be magnified.

Don't all Bantams have 3 rivets?

All Alox Bantams do indeed. I missed the “Alox” bit, because I’m an idiot.

Mine seem solid; no unusual flex.

the one I had didn't do that either
Solving problems you didn't know you had in the most obscure way possible
"And now, it's time to hand this over to our tame race axe driver. Some say, he can live in the forest for six months at a time without food, and he knows of a secret tribe of only women where he is their God. All we know is, he's call the Styx!" - TazzieRob
