Nice... I actually wanted to start a thread "Made in Italy", as I think they make of the best EDC knives today. And Blade magazine seems to agree, as they have taken home knife of the year in the past 4 years... also, I get them in stores cheaper than Blade HQ prices, which is awesome :D

I don't think I particularly have the finest from anywhere  :D A lot of my tools are low to mid range, or have been tweaked.

I have one "premium" folder, and it's not as good as my cheapies. It remains with me as a user, to remind that big money doesn't always mean big benefits  ;)

I do have items from several places though. Off the top of my head, I have something from England, France, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Sweden, China, Japan, and United States. I might have something from other places too, but nothing springs immediately to mind

No pics, sadly  :-\ Most of what I have left has been squirrelled away for a year or more

Vertical on left side, from the Left and Top
Mora - Sweden  This needs no introduction, may not be the 'best' of Sweden but they have definitely contributed to making Scandi grind world known.
GEC - US  Case is probably much larger and and a longer history for making traditional, but I thank GEC for their excellent workmanship and making traditional a new tread again.
Leatherman - US  Again, needs no introduction, one of the best pliers based manufacturer.

Midde row, from top
Helle - Norway  Started in 1932, they are a reputable family-owned maker of Scandinavian knives.
Tashi Bharucha Prism - China/US  Got this via massdrop, and a joint collaborated effort between China manufacturer and US designer
Swiss Army Knife - everyone knows about this one...
We Knife - China  One example of the new breed of Chinese manufacturers making decent knives with good design and decent workmanship

Laconico Keen - China/US Another massdrop knife that I like, joint effort between US and China
CRK - US/S.Africa  I thank CRK for rising the bar so high up 2 decades ago, and kinda help revolutionize the whole industry

Vertical on the right, from the top left
Lionsteel - Italy  I think this is one of the earliest integral mass produced knives, very innovative brand from Italy
Higonokami - Japan  Honestly, this is just what I have from Japan, and it probably will be a disgrace to call it finest from Japan since they have such a rich cutlery history.
Laguiole - France  This knife pattern has a rich history in France, and probably could be traced back 200 years ago.
Buck - US  Solid brand in US which has served many generations of American(and worldwide) well
Ahti - Finland  Made in Kauhava, which is a center of knife making in Finland for hundreds of years

Another look at the Tashi Bharucha Prism, what I like to bring out here is--sometimes instead of only thinking each other as competitors, joint collaborative effort often yields something unexpectedly beautiful.  Tashi Bharucha custom knives are quite expansive and I probably couldn't afford one if this collaboration didn't exist.
