Yes, I understand, we had only been dating for like 5 months and we went camping in a simple tent and it poured, cooking was horrible, and we froze, we tried to keep the pit fire going, and cook a few things just to keep our stomachs from starving, but we did the same and closed up the tent, and just cuddled to keep warm, needless to say we did, and it was very relaxing, and since it was pouring NO ONE wanted to camp so we had the whole place to ourselves :whistle: But after our time was up and we had so much extra food we went to my aunt and uncles and made a HUGE breakfast for everyone, eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, and scrapple, and lots of everything! Everyone was full! But yes as bad as the camping was, it was nice to just relax and cuddle in the warmth and listen to the rain! But in that pic I posted you’d have to pack up the tent when the river started overflowing! Lol..

Fair enough. 

I love the rain but likely because here in Cali we don't usually see much.  We went and woke the next morning to snow one year.  It was so cold but man it was crisp and clear.  Starting that fire was a task but once going we just sat back and soaked it all in. 

Good thing for those small pocket stoves.  We can cook pretty decently with them.

In PA rain was weird, but getting camp grills was easy, we’d pick all sorts of them up at tag sales, we even had two son of hibachi’s, although one of the grills was not only a grill but a large cooler, it sat on top of the cooler and had wheels and handles so you could pull it around, but then raised to cooking hight when you wanted to cook or get in the cooler, but that one was good good for breakfast since it was propane, the other was lava rock with propane, but you throw a few hickory charcoal on top and totally give flavor,
But one day we were going camping and like 500ft ahead the speed limit raised to 55mph from 35, so I started to step on the gas and next thing I know we got flashing lights in the rear view, like come on, well, I got hit for a like 45mph ticket in a 35 zone, in the mean time these cars are zooming by like over 65, but the officer is still screwing with us, so finally he’s done and we could go, yet we showed up at the camp and their closed, go fig, we missed them by like 15min, so we camped out and slept in the car, oh well, we were ready to go first thing in the morning since we slept like 50ft from the gate.. I got another story but it will have to wait..
