A bit of a back story here. My father was battling cancer in 2007. As a bit of escapism, I took up my camera and went out a lot to shoot various things. Quite often, he would drive me to some of these places. At this time, he was too weak to walk around, but he was quite content to just sit next to the vehicle and enjoy some fresh air. He lost his battle in 2008, and I joined up to MT.O the following year.

I just did a computer build and bought a Thermaltake BlacX Duet HD/SSD docking station. I had the intention of removing some hard drives I had stored in my two older computers and to get some of my older photos installed on the new system. Mind you, These photos were not transferred to my newer computer because I lacked the means to do so. That changed today. I went upstairs and removed the drives from the oldest system. Everything worked nicely once I figured out where the on/off switch was on the docking station. As a bonus, I also had an older SSD drive that I plan on using. I just completed formating the drive...it is only a 50Gb drive...but a bit of extra space is always welcome.

Now back to the photos. Here are 3 photos taken at a beautiful location called Hiawatha Highlands just north of Sault Ste Marie, Ontario Canada. The fall of 2007 held a beauty and a bit of an escape from my Dad's struggles with cancer. These I photo-shopped to have a boarder and were designed to be printed 19"x13" and hung on the wall. I just re-found them and thought I would share them with you.

This one is titled Autumn Glow.

Now I have reunited my 2007/08 photos with my photo archive which I started back in 2009 when I first joined this forum.  :hatsoff:

Thank you for sharing the pics and story Chako.
I have a very similar story but I'm still very broken and unable to share it openly on the boards.
