I wish Dex would sit out of the way when in the kitchen and just supervise, he like stands on your toes, then sometimes when you turn around he’s right there and you almost do a faceplate, like  :ahhh  move it!

Other than the basics one of the first things to be taught to a dog should be   "Out of the Kitchen"

I’d say, she’s pushing that line!
His food / water is in the kitchen, plus in order to take him out to the backyard he’s gotta go through the kitchen,
We’re still working with the cats, we have to keep a gate up and divide the house, Dex gets the living room and kitchen during the day, then at night he comes to bed and the cats get full run, I mean during the day they stay in the bedroom yet can go in the dinning room for food and business, and if wanted simply jump the gate and avoid Dex which they do sometime but mostly when it starts getting later like letting us know like “come on it’s time for snacks and put that big furball in the bedroom”!

Don't get me wrong, Rosies allowed in the kitchen. Her food and water is in there as well. But she knows the command "out of the kitchen" when we don't want her in there like when we are cooking.   :tu:

As some of you will remember Rosie lost her cousin Misty last spring. Well meet my brothers new pup . She's a rescue called Remi, I'm not sure if they'll keep that name or rename her. Shepard / Lab mix supposedly .
