They like to hide things, if they see you continuously use or have the same thing they think it’s valuable to you so what they do is hide it so you don’t lose it,, well back in the day, I’m talking like 16yrs ago, we had 4 ferrets that basically had free roam of the whole 1st floor, their cage was a closet that I put like 8 shelves and tubes in, I took the door off and made a wire door so when we wanted we could keep them in their cage, but one morning I got up to go to work, got my lunchbox ready, grabbed my jacket, and then where’s my keys? GONE! I searched and search, the mrs came down and helped, NOTHING! So I had to call off all because I just couldn’t find my keys, so she settled me down and made me breakfast since she was up and the kids were still in bed, and as I was sitting there, I see this shine, something funky in the baseboard heating, huh, so I grabbed a flashlight and sure enough there’s my keys, so I had to pop the panel off the front in order to get my hand in, in order to reach them, why you little furball, oh well, can’t go to work I’ve already called off.. ah breakfast! One day when we went to move the living room around I lifted the one end of the couch in the air and was like OMG, our old dog was standing there and even sat down cause he couldn’t believe what he saw, all of these chew bones that he had that we kept giving him since we thought he finished them, but come to find out no, he’d only get half way and small enough to fit under the couch so then one of them would take it and hide them under the freaking couch, like you little furball! There had to be at least 30!

That's too funny! My cats have hid things, too.

Last night I took this photo of Sophie. She was not happy that she had to move immediately after it was taken.

Adorable.  Fisher does that frequently after he eats.  We call it his happy dance.

Molly looks so proud.

I’ve had a lot of worries about Coco the last few months, she’s been steadily going downhill I’m sorry to say and without giving you too many gory details the vet thought she probably had cancer

Anyway today she’s back from a load of tests and it turns out to be heart disease which in all honesty is a relief. She’s probably only got another 3-6 months but yesterday it was looking like weeks. For a big old girl nearly 13 that’s not a bad result

So, sorry to hear that mate.  :'(  I know it's not quite as bad as it might be, but still must hurt.

Thanks Gareth :tu: :tu:

For the last few months I could tell things weren’t right with her and she was struggling. She’s had very bad arthritis for a while now but this was different.

I just couldn’t stand to think she was suffering so I’m just relieved she isn’t and the new medication should improve her energy levels, already seem to be in fact

You’re supposed to give them to her an hour before food, they’re flavoured. But of course Coco doesn’t like them so at ten to six this morning I’m trying everything to get her to eat them. Covered them in peanut butter, eats the pb spits out the tablets, wrapped in some ham, same thing :ahhh eventually just put them in some canned dog food and she had them.

Because she has so many meds for the arthritis it’s difficult to get the timing right but we’ll get there.

She gave up drinking water a few weeks ago so I now brew up a big pot of chicken bone broth for her, that works

I’m very upset to know she’s not got that long but at least better than it was looking so I see it as a blessing. At least I can be prepared for the inevitable I suppose, but yep it’s really hard

She’s been the best companion imaginable and I’ll make sure she has a bit of fun these next few months and I know I’ll have done all I can so no regrets

So sorry to hear about Coco’s declining health.  Many positive thoughts coming your way.

Hopefully the two of you can have a lot of fun together in what time you do have left together.
