Logitech Mouse?
on: May 04, 2020, 02:27:24 PM
Any recommendations for a mouse? I want to go Logitech as it can use the receiver I already have for Logitech mouse and keyboard. I'm thinking of going for a gaming mouse to (hopefully) get better quality.

Doubt that (they are pre-paired), but you get one with every mouse. Big fan of the M330 silent plus. The silent means different buttons, which I much prefer (they are quite and have a different feel to them)
It wouldn't be the internet without people complaining.

Check for devices that work with unifying receiver, and if your dongle is one (also doubt it), or that you can use your old keyboard with it.

I also have an M330 silent, it is unifying receiver compatible. We have some unifying receivers at work since I found that some mice got returned dongle-less... royal pain in the butt. The only real issue with using the unifying receiver is you need to install the software and pair the devices... however, it does mean you can run a lot more devices off a single dongle.

The difficult we do immediately, the impossible takes a little longer.

May I suggest an Enhance Power Up wireless charging mouse pad and mouse combo. I love this set. Plug in the mouse mat via USB. There is a recharging zone on the mouse mat. The mouse is good for 2 days of constant use. To charge it, simply move the mouse over the charging zone until the mat led turns red. Leave it there till the LED turns green. Super convenient.

Give me your address syncop8r. I have a G903 that I can't love, that I can give you. I wonder what the shipping cost might be?

It is yours if you want it.

Thanks for the offer Chako. If it's anything like the shipping from here to North America (or anywhere) it will be criminal. Is there an easy way for you to estimate the shipping to New Zealand?
Another option is you send it to my freight forwarder in Seattle (from memory), I combine it with other things from the states (like chainsaw parts  :D ) and it all comes here in one package.
I would pay your shipping costs of course.

I bought my original mouse and keyboard as a combo which work off a single receiver. The mouse only lasted a couple of months before the right click became unreliable. At a local store I found a very basic Logitech mouse (M185) that was reduced because it's USB receiver was missing, which was no problem as it works off my existing receiver.
I have been using it for about three years and the right click is starting to go on this one too.

I will look up those models, I have heard the G502 is a good one so I was thinking something along those lines.
What don't you like about the G903?

Hmmm, I can't find the list of compatible devices...

What chainsaw parts? I need some chainsaw parts. Ordering parts here is a total nightmare.

I'm not exactly sure at the moment but there's usually some part I need for an old McCulloch that you can't get here (an air filter for a Pro Mac 610 for a start).
What do you need? Can you not get them through your local Stihl dealer?

I have very large but stubby fingers and a wide palm. The mouse is too long for me to comfortably apply a claw grip to it.

Message me your address and I will look into it in a couple of days.

Nah, message me your New Zealand address. I would rather mail it to you directly. I imagine the price might not be that different from Canada.to either the US or New Zealand.

by the way, the G903 is one of their top end mice.

Oh and do not think for a second you will be paying shipping...thank you.  :hatsoff:

Thanks, yeah I'm watching reviews of it right now.
Takeaway points so far is that it is ambidextrous, requires light touch on the keys, and is good.  :tu:

The mouse was used a whole 5 days. Basically brand spanking new. It comes with everything including the packaging.

I will send it to you on my dime. If there is any duties...that will be on you.

Thanks mate!  :tu:  :gimme:

I still need to find the list of compatible devices, but if it's not on it that doesn't really matter, it just means I have another receiver plugged in. A minor inconvenience considering I'm getting a free mouse.

The 610 might be older than me.
Stihl prices suck and ordering odd parts online yeah nar.
What do I need, the usual: fuel line, fuel filters, air filters, chains, files and a couple bar covers. And some two stroke oil.

Good luck.  :salute:
I had a tooth removed recently and they booked in an hour "as a worst-case scenario".
It took nearly two hours to get it all out.  :ahhh   I hope yours isn't as bad!
