Boker Tech Tool Glass Breaker removal

I love my tech tool, but the glass breaker is the primary reason I don't carry it as much as I'd like to, it just snags on things and is a scratch on something else waiting to happen. So if anyone has removed it (or just disassembled the tool period), is it a set screw or a pin? How did you go about removal and was there any downsides?

If I recall correctly, it’s just press fit in there, but very tough to get out.
