There are so many different wallet card tools out there that claim to have all assorted tool functions contained on a credit card shaped item designed to fit in a wallet.
How well do these tools actually work? Do they actually perform the various functions that they claim to? Are they useful as an edc tool, an emergency “better than nothing” tool or just hype?
How about a challenge to see if these multitool cards are useful enough to actually be worth carrying?
There currently isn’t a challenge schedule for December or if there is another month that enough people are interested it could be one of those. I am doing the MTO Unleashed in June and the Minimal SAK in November, but any other month could be an option.
The challenge requirements would be:
- the standard post a picture a day of the the tool for 30 days
- try and use the tool for as many of the claimed functions as possible during the month
- with each new function used provide a short judgement on how well it performed - good, “better than nothing”, didn’t really work
- The final days post would include a brief review of how well the tool performed - Does it perform the functions claimed? How useful is it really? Is it something you would recommend?
Is there anyone interested?
[There isn’t currently a badge for this, but if enough people were interested and participated I could check into it]
