What is this little thing?

I like it a lot, but $45 is too much for me. I’m wondering what this is though. It looks like an old swissgear tool, but much better.

Charles.

That is the H-D labelled SeberTool M4 (IIRC H-D called it a HD15). It was initially sold in a presentation case with a quite fancy black leather sheath.

I have a couple, they are very small and a bit fiddly to use, but quite robust for their size.

I see the seller is now asking for U$30.00 B.I.N. (and is including the fancy sheath)

Here is the MTo wiki entry for the M4:

Yes but with $15 shipping that makes it $45

I've got a couple Several M4's and like them.  Had carried one on my keyring for years.
Seems kinda pricey as a tool but a Harley collector would probably snatch it up.

M4s are expensive anyway. I have (and use) the M2 (pliers, Phillips and Slotted drivers) and M3 (adds two very small drivers to that of the M2) The wire cutters aren't the best, but the rest of the tool is quite sturdy for the small frame.

I would say the price is worth it; though I'd wait a bit and see if you can get it for the $20 starting bid. When a third party ad (in this case, an engineering firm) is on the knife, it brings the price down in my opinion (or just an reason to lowball an offer).

I have one of those as well :salute: Very nice handy little pliers and very robust  I don't see that they are worth as much as they are asking (well once you add the shipping cost that they have) but they are worth the $20-$25 range for sure :tu: It is even the Harley USA made version which is the HD15 which is a bit better in the fit and finish than the Chinese counterpart which is an IDL T10 :tu:

Here is a very early thread from 12 years ago about this tool :D It also contains my very first post :o :ahhh

Early Thread :D

and here is the page on the MT Encyclopedia about it  Here

and even a review about it by Bob (J-sews) here on MTO Review

I like the pouch, too. Still, a bit too expensive.

 :salute:
