Brass Magnifier
on: June 13, 2020, 08:41:27 PM
Just a small mod for my next custom...
2mm brass so will need a couple of small spacers opposite the Phillips. Glass epoxied into frame, so should stay in place.  :salute:

Thanks MadPlumbarian, Sherry, Juan, Sir Vic  :hatsoff:

And here is the Modeler recreation.  :salute:

The file layer only adds an extra 2.5mm so not much extra width on the Explorer. Original Modeler had no hook or back tool (fine screwdriver) on the file.

Brass frame for the magnifier worked well. Used 0.38mm brass washers each side to space the magnifier to the correct 2.4mm width.

Nice tool load, and seeing the base Explorer was my daily carry, this will take over as my EDC.  :tu:

Excellent work! You should sell modded Explorers, I'm sure you'd get more than a few orders!  :gimme:

I’m not one for the magnify glass, but if I had a brass one like that I might have put one on my mod Sak, cause that’s the way it should be and not plastic!
