SwissQlip question
on: July 31, 2020, 01:23:18 AM
Just got a SwissQlip, and so far love it!

The clip, while it has no play, does not sit flush against the scale.  Does anyone else have the same issue.  Alternatively, is that just how it's supposed to be?  Thanks.

I’ll have to look at mine when I get home tonight. See how it looks.

Just from the picture, it looks poorly engineered. Instead of forming it like the scales, they just made a right angle slap. In my mind it messes up the ergonomical form of a SAK. But, it is great that it works for you  :tu:

Nets......I have 4 of these on knives that get carried on again / off again (Camper, Explorer, Ranger, Mountaineer Lite) and they all have the same exact gap as yours.  I believe it is intentional to accommodate slight variations in scale thickness and does not affect the strength of the clip in any way.  May even provide a little flexibility to the clip.

The SwissQlip has replaced the suspension clip for me (except for the Vagabond in my right rear pocket) because I now have 6 pairs of blue jeans with the top of the right front pocket shredded by the suspension clip going on and off.  Good investment given the cost of blue jeans 😂.
