Maybe Victorinox will help him in that endeavor? Perhaps a web page savy SAK fan might offer their services in exchange for some sexy Alox?

So does this mean just special ones? Or all "silver" farmers, pioneers or cadets? JR

I would assume so from what has been said in this thread, but it's just a assumption.

I'm still waiting for the 2014 European catalog to see what models will be available here. More alox models are offered here.

When you think of it many of us have done more international business in trying to buy alox that we do not have in our country.    If more people are buying internationally via the web does it make sense for Victorinox to do just country releases?  Like earlier said maybe they could sell more models and make more money.

Does Victorinox share production numbers?  What percentage of knives do they manufacture that are alox?  You look at some knife classified postings and some of those alox knives last less than 15 minutes on the site if they are reasonable.  It seems like they are in great demand.   I am sure at some point Victorinox would see how much in demand they are and make some runs again.   Instead of 50 knives maybe it would be more economical to do what Case Knives do and run knives at 250, 500, 2500 and 3000.

DO NOT PANIC!!

THIS IS A 2013 THREAD!

Worth reading before you go into the alox colour craze and learn from the mistakes some made buying several coloured ALOX thinking that they would not be easily available any more.

The alox craze days of early to mid 2010s, when a copper alox cadet was $100, used, and Victorinox was fueling the craze by saying that no more will be made.
Kelly: "Daddy, what makes men cheat on women?
Al : "Women!"

Did Vic ever get new dies?
I see lots of old posts about rough Alox scales, but not not a peep now.
Hooked, like everyone else. ;)

All hail the hook!
