Spring tension

Would I destroy the spring tension if I put my knifes on display like on the photo. ? :)

Lot of tension on those back springs.  The question IS, how long as Steve says.

I agree with the previous posters, who said "eventually".

I'll go a bit further, and say this is probably a lot like the "Will it damage my magazine springs to store them loaded?" question.  Again the answer is "eventually", probably after a number of years.
