Victorinox Alox Pro Red and 2020 Damascus comparison

One costs about 80 euro, the other about 400.
They both come in interesting boxes. the Damascus in the usual Damascus edition box and the Red in an interesting box in a box container.

The Red comes with a lanyard and a fixed pocket clip.

Walk and talk is similar, feels decent but the Damascus one felt a bit smoother opening and closing.

The Red is heavier by a few grams.

They both feel good in the hand, allowing you to have a good grip.

Dimensions seem identical.

Realistically, the Red gives you more for a fifth of the price.

Still, even the red, apart from the alox covers, feels like a typical folding knife, like many made by several makers.

Since we're on the topic... I wonder how it compares in size to a 111mm Trekker or something like that.

These look far too big for EDC.  But nobody seems to consider them for outdoor... particularly Bushcraft purposes.   The blade size shape and grind all seem to be similar to Bushcraft knives, and that seems to be the logical use.

I'm pretty sure that the clip can be slid off.

If you want to remove the clip some force is required . It is not really removed easily with screws
