Just received the latest Leatherman package. 1 black oxide Wave+, 1 ratchet (finally they got some more in stock on the Canadian side), and 1 bit kit that was free. I will post photos a little later today.

so that means all I now need to get are 4 coloured K2 knives to finish up my Free display, at least from the Canada portal. So things are progressing somewhat.

Finally got in the ratchet. This was unobtainium in Canada until last week, or so it seemed to me. It looks like I might now need to get myself a copy of the 3D Phillips adapter after all, now that I got the extension, and this ratchet.

Because of a promotion, I got the bit kit for free. I was unaware they also included an extra eyeglass removable bit.

The black oxide Wave+ arrived in this order. Does Leatherman sell the Wave+ with a cap crimper head? If so, then my hunt is not over. However, I now have the 3 Wave+ variants on sale on their official Canadian Website portal.

I am not sure if they have a Cap Crimper version for the Wave +

I should be getting the 4 coloured K2 knives sometime this summer. That is the master plan anyhow. Once I get those, I think I can call it quite for all the easy to get stuff. I will be then trying to get the US only stuff if I can.

Latest photos. Making some expansion room for later down the road.

I found a spot for the latest Leatherman display case.

Picture #4 is my personal favorite. Though I am interested in collecting each member of the PST family, the one Leatherman MT that I would like to have all varieties/colors of is the E4/ES4.

Just ordered a blue and a red K2 along with a removable bit driver accessory (Now that I have a ratchet extender, a bit extender, and the sight extender tool that came with the Super Tool 300M, I think I needed this last bit of kit). All I need thus far are the gray and green K2s to complete the free series in its entirety. I also ordered one in a tin gift case for an extra 5 dollars.

Got the notification that they are shipped. Just got to wait...once again.  :D

I also did a re-visit to that store that gave me their Leatherman display case. I left with a pair of Brewzers in their boxes.

I emailed Leatherman on July 1 in regards to some discontinuation dates. They responded that they would get back with me. 12 days later...and nothing. Very typical of Leatherman.

This is my issue. A bunch of their engineers went on Reddit a while back and stated that the folks on Multitool.org think they know how their business works, but in fact have little clue...and here I am trying to set some records straight, and the company isn't all that forthcoming with useful information. It is a darn good think I like their product...their other stuff leaves a lot to be desired.

Just ordered the last two K2 colours needed. I just got confirmation that the first 2 K2 knives have arrived in the Sault. I should be getting them sometime today or tomorrow. Noticed that they posted the Black & Silver Surge on their website. Guess that will be a purchase down the road if it is still available.

Package received. I now have the last two K2 knives on order...and the Free Family should be complete.

Got this in today...

20210714_134049A by Chako, on Flickr

I went to WalMart a few days ago and spied a very nice little hanging key curio cabinet that also can rest on a flat surface. I am thinking this could be used for any SAKs that I may purchase in the future.

Here is the curio cabinet on top of the Leatherman display with the 2 new K2 knives. Just need the gray and green K2 now.

20210714_134826A by Chako, on Flickr

Lots of SAK box storage as well as a place to hang a few SAKS.

Well...storage has got me going again. I had the bright idea of removing the tools that I kept in this little 3 shelf unit and to liberate some Leatherman boxes from a more hidden storage area. I thought I would make it, except I have been buying a lot since October of 2020. So much so that I ran out of space again...sort of. I might be able to cram a few more boxes on the bottom shelf...and the rest can go back into hidden storage I guess. Either way, I must say, this looks more like a Leatherman shrine than before. I guess with that result, mission a success.

It all started when I got a free Leatherman display case from a local shop. Then I found the perfect place for it. This got the ball rolling  and now I have this...

Yes, the above photograph has set a few fine folks over on Reddit with accusations of bragging. I guess photos of my actual tools are ok, but heaven forbid should I talk about box storage.

Bragging?? Who cares?! However, I hope you will keep on 'bragging', because I like your pictures and stories very much!!

Surely we don't know what's going on at Leaterman at the moment, but as long as they won't answer any serious questions, LM should not complain about the audience making wild guesses.

I plan on going nowhere. I am like that cousin that loses his house and asks for a bit of help in housing...and 6 months later, is still living in your basement.  :D

In an ongoing effort to streamline my box storage, I examined my other bedroom stash. Sorry for the dust, but this is an area I haven't touched in over 10 years (at least the bottom most shelf). I see some more Leatherman boxes hidden in here, but mostly SAK boxes. My plan, clean this out and use it for some much needed photography gear storage...as it is occupying the last shelf in my camera gear cabinet.

Just got in the last 2 Free K2 knives. Now I have them all. I must thank Leatherman for making this a lot more expensive with all the colour options of the T4 and K2.  :salute:

Now I do not have to worry about the Free Family (I still think calling these "Free" a bit injudicious).
