This Wednesday is pay day. I should be able to order the last Leatherman I can get that I do not have from the Canadian web portal...the black & silver Surge.

Still waiting for a response from Leatherman in regards to some dates.

This is momentous, at least for me. I just pulled the trigger on the last Leatherman I can get off the Canadian web portal...a Black & Silver Surge. Guess I will now have to wait for the new stuff to show up...but at least I feel like I am now caught up. It has been a bit of a slog since October of 2020 when I started to reacquire Leatherman models. I had been dormant since 2015 for the most part on Leathermans. I missed a few collector pieces, but I can live with that. I will have to figure out how to get my hands on a few US only exclusives down the road...if I can.

Just received the very last item I can get off of the official Leatherman Canadian website...the Black & Silver Surge.

I try not to look on the US site and am still annoyed that Leatherman does not offer me the capability of purchasing:

1. Topo Skeletool
2. Earth G10 Charge+
3. Covid 19 Hands Free Tool
4. Any of the various kits with the Leatherman bag.

So this is it until the Curl comes out I guess.

So this is the most up to date collection photo series I have right now. At this point, I can no longer buy new Leatherman tools. This was a journey I started back in October of 2020 when I noticed that Leatherman now has a Canadian website to purchase their tools. Prior to that, I stopped collecting back in 2014/15 for personal reasons. I was not aware of all the new models that came out since then...and I am rather surprised that I caught up rather quickly. I did miss out on some special editions during that time, but I think I can live without them.

First display case holding a few Leatherman things such as a belt buckle, some poker chips, stickers/Wingman card packet/25th Anniversary pin, several painted Micras, Camo Surge, BO Surge, Super Tool 200, Juice Pro,  and a Led Lenser P3 & F1 flashlights.

Second display case holding the complete Free family. This includes a P4, P2, T2, 6 T4 in various colours, a K2X, 4 K2 in various colours, K4X, and K4.

Top of main Leatherman collection storage. Here you can find 4 tool adaptor kits, Led Lenser headband light, a fake Leatherman knife, various Leatherman advertisement materials, a pair of Raptors plus 1 fake Raptor, Danish 25th Anniversary Wave, etc...

The first drawer is the resting place for all of my Leatherman keychain sized tools.

Second drawer down, more Leatherman tools.

Third drawer down, the heavy weight crew.

Forth drawer down, various charges, Z Rex, and Leatherman shears.
20210804_132104A by Chako, on Flickr

Fifth drawer down, more Leatherman Kick/Fuse/Blast as well as the Wave and Leap.
20210804_132146A by Chako, on Flickr

Sixth drawer down, the older stuff like the PST/II/Mini/Pulse/Flair/Sideclip, Juice family, and Rebars. The bond in in here as well for good measure.

Here is the Leatherman pocket tools.

The next drawers contain various Leatherman sets, and memorabilia. I also keep my Leatherman user rotation in here as well.

Thanks kottskrapa.

I just pulled the trigger on the Curl, and a pair of Skeletool KBX knives in Coyote Tan and Black & Silver. I found out I missed those after careful review.

The Curl in Canada comes out to $106.95.

Also noticed that the Free pocket clips are no longer listed on their Canadian Website. Must be sold out.

Just got in the last Leatherman package. I now have a Curl, and the last two KBX knives.

I did not realize that the Curl would not sport removable cutters...that is a shame for a just over 100 Canadian dollar tool.

I try not to read the details before I get a new tool...so that I can judge it on my own without any preconceived notions...or at least I try.

Here are the photos of my latest order from Leatherman.

20210825_152958A by Chako, on Flickr

Here is my copy of the Curl. I find it a bit pricy for what you get. As mentioned above, no replaceable cutters at this price is a bit of a let down. Likewise, on my copy, I find the back spring load-up is anything but smooth. This is not a tool that you will use and go...wow...what tactile precision and construction! I will EDC it for a bit to see if it will grow on me. My first impression of the Bond was about the same, and that tool did grow on me. Might happen for the Curl as well.

20210825_153326(0) by Chako, on Flickr

At least the pocket clip is included. As mentioned above, you can't buy extra ones in Canada at the moment. I guess everything they had went onto these I guess.
20210825_153501A by Chako, on Flickr

Next up are a pair of knives I was not planning on getting. I like collecting anything but the Leatherman knives for the most part. That changed somewhat for the Free series simply because those are more akin to multi-tools as opposed to just knives. Consequently, I do not have many of the older Leatherman knives in my collection. I did buy a few of these half Skeletool knives at a local shop because they were convenient and not that expensive. While looking to see what else I could bundle with the Curl, I noted that I didn't get all of these little knives yet. Considering I was stating that I got everything off the Leatherman site, I was wrong. I spied 2 more of these knives I didn't have. I think I now have them all.

20210825_153724A by Chako, on Flickr

I now have 5 Skeletool KBX knives and 1 Skeletool KB knife. I find it odd that they offer only the one plain edge knife. I guess the serrated blades are more popular with the public than is evinced by many knife nuts online at least.

Great pics :like: Congrats

I ended up really liking mine from the beginning  I didn't feel it to be rough on my copy either :ahhh

I did also like the Bond from the beginning as well :D

Of course, I didn't have to pay as much for neither tool
