I've got an idea for a contest. Let's post a picture of a SAK we own and challenge Chako to show the same one from his collection. Then it's he's turn to do the same.

Then we lose and we can turn green with envy and feel sad...

Here is a quick glimpse of what is hiding in the middle deep storage drawer. These photos were taken back in 2015, and not everything is in here. Missing are a few more SAK books, and other collectible things. The biggest part is here though. Hope you enjoy.

Victorinox Deluxe.

Pretty cool, and fitting for the time period. I suspect they're rather pricey to come by these days.

It's been a while since I last saw that huge display knife. That thing is so cool.
You should seriously visit vicfan.com. All the hoopy froods are doing it.

Reinier...I still know nothing about that large knife. There is a screw hole found on the tip of the bottle opener. That piece is thick enough that it does not fit inside the knife. The knife is all metal but no back springs. Everything else fits in the knife and rotates freely. All tools are chromed.

If anyone has any info about that knife...I would appreciate it.

Just took these new photos of the big guy with a 91mm Victorinox included for size comparison.

There is no electronics in there...so it isn't one of those display knives that sit on a pedestal and move when plugged in. It is heavy, weighing quite a bit.

Not sure why I can't find any online info about it. Is it a prototype, a one off, or is it a rare display meant to be placed on the table as a show piece for the company or a dealer. Mayhaps that small screw hole in the bottle opener was meant to be for an anti theft cable to prevent theft via a small hook or metal loop. I have no clue.

Wowsers!  There’s a lot there I haven’t seen before. I always thought those specialized Wengers were so neat, like the Minathors.

Somehow I get the impression that Vic and Wenger in the past issued more 'specials' than Vic does nowadays.

BTW: Extremely interesting pictures! Thanks a lot for sharing and taken the effort!
