Buncha liteweights!!!!
on: August 07, 2020, 12:02:52 AM
Well, some may not be so light but they all make the night brighter 😊.  There may be some that have not crossed my path yet but that’s ok, they will eventually 👍.

Top row (L to R):
Spartan Life
Huntsman Lite
Traveler Lite
Mountaineer Lite
Cybertool Lite
Expedition Lite
XAVT

Bottom row (L to R):
Signature Lite
Pocket Tool Chest Microlight
Midnight Minichamp

Very nice indeed.  8)

The Mountaineer Lite always appealed to me but not quite enough to actually pay for one.  :D

:hatsoff:    Bad Mechanic / Barry...the XAVT is just a Spartan Lite with a few more things attached, lol.
Gareth...I do like the Mountaineer Lite but it was a little hard to find over here.  Not sure if they were sold over here, if so then certainly not many.  Lately I’ve been playing with the Expedition Lite, added wood saw and all the goodies on the scales.
Storm...enlightened is surely a good word for these 👍.

The Microlight Pocket Toolchest would definitely be my ultimate SAK. For most tinkering, the brightness of its LED is just enough. I have had the Microlight Esquire since 2012, when Tuesday Morning was clearing out a crap load of Wengers. If I'd been there a little earlier, I'd likely have spent a ton of money. I'd begged my folks to take me there for over a month, ever since they advertised Wengers in their circular at the time.

Munsonhsr... :hatsoff:

Lisa...I suspect you could add more than a few “bright lights” to this discussion 👍.

Cody...I’m sure the opportunity wasn’t a once in a lifetime shot, it will come again 😊.  I too like the PTC Microlight, great toolset. 👍. If I didn’t carry a Vagabond, it would be the one.  I may try carrying that one anyway.  Much nicer pocket carry than the XAVT.

That's a great theme for a photo ..... and collection    ???

 :like:  :like:  :like:

Did you explicitly set out to get all the 'Lites'?  -  Or is this just one of many themes?

Hi Huntsman.....nope, just picked these up over the years and when I was waiting for the last one to arrive (Expedition Lite) I realized that I had a collection, lol.  So I guess I accumulate until it becomes a collection.

Oh yes Rizio, lots of accidental collections.  When I first started collecting Swiss Army knives it was the 84mm knives and I still do.  But you’ll notice that none of these are 84mm.

One of my favorite Vic tools!

Not all of them, but those in the EDC/rotation pile.

I don’t have the Mountaineer, Master Gardener or the XAVT. I’ve come across copies of the first two, but didn’t want to pay a premium for models I could build. And I have no desire to make a collection of them outside of the fodder box, or some of the mint in box examples.

Best part of the CT Lite is that the lite points in the same direction for in-line use.

Also attaching a shot of different types of cases.

Nice.....I noticed the clear case on the Expedition Lite, wasn’t aware of that change.  I think I like it.

I think I will put these in my truck, that way if both headlights fail on a dark night I can double-side tape them to the front of the hood, turn them on and I’m good to go.

1/10 scale R/C truck?

And yeah, I like the new cases...and the slightly brighter LED they come with.  :tu:

So many? Not enough!!

I think every popular model with the Corkscrew should have the option. Lite and Phillips- why not?

I’ve got two

Sometimes, it’s that I NEED it...

...to stop thinking about how much I WANT it.

Same Smurf Different Day...

But that’s how I ended up with the alox version or two. Started with the Red LED. Then the white LED. And of course the orange translucent scale one. Sometime later found out there were also alox after seeing them on MTO. Red for the eventual worn look...and silver for the cleaner look.
