Used Chain on Wenger to level a mail box.

Used the chain on my Wenger as a makeshift plumbbob when my dad and I were doing work around the house today.  :D Can your Leatherman do that? :rofl:

Outstanding!

As a surveyor during my college summers, who still cherished my Plum bob the way some cherish their first SAK, I love it! It means I now have to get a Wenger!!! Or do Vics’s have them?

Suggestion: maybe fashion a tiny plastic disk to fit through the ring on the chain’s end, use some fluorescent orange tape to create an orange and whit propeller blade marking and designate your SAK “The Surveyor” mod. You could coil some dental floss or 6 pound test monofilament on the disk (or chain) and turn the knife into a plum bob Complete with a target! Your surveyor mod would definitely need a compass mod too.

Thanks for sharing this application of the chain.

It unchained my imagination first thing today!!!

For the chainless... Got a shoelace or long grass?  Tie them to the SAK or Leatherman and dangle the tool.  No chain or carrying thread or dental floss necessary.
