Custom sheath

The long nose quickly wore through the original nylon sheath. I had this one custom made by Firearmholsters.com. It's awesome. Kydex and leather. One surprise bonus? The sheath holds the release pins on the handles just long enough to OPEN the tool on its way out of the sheath! It's awesome.

Very nice. Is the flat piece facing the camera leather or kydex? I assume leather where the MT was molded from. Just curious, why did you opt for leather as opposed to all kydex?

Yes the back and the top piece that closes it are leather. That’s just how he made it. It works and carries great. The rivets hold the kydex to the leather. The back being flexible in leather, accommodates a belt better than kydex would I assume.

I carried that tool for probably close to 20 years. Gave it to my 10 yr old fishn buddy, my daughter. That night she put it on the tailgate of the truck. It's gone.
