the jeans I'm wearing at the moment have an especially deep change pocket, that fits the 111mm nomad I have perfectly. I'll try it out for a few days.

I’ve carried  various 111’s many times, but just did some work that will allow me to edc my modded GAK.

I used the scales from a Sentinel and made a cut out for the backside Phillips driver.

Now I can carry with a pocket clip and also have tweezers and a toothpick!

I want to mod my can opener to become a type of technician flat blade. Pic is one Robert Lessard did on a 93mm...

I have no real use for a can opener.

Yes, it's a shame Victorinox doesn't take pocket clips at all seriously. I'm sure I'd carry my 111mms a lot more frequently than I do now. Those Nite Ize clips work (I have one on a Swisstool Spirit) but they aren't pretty. Pouches are always an option but mine usually lie around, unused.

Nice! Where did you source the sentinel scales? I’ve had the same idea with a OHT, but couldn’t find the scales anywhere.

Is that Kershaw clip screwed into something on the other side of the red plastic?
It looks great.

I used to carry an Explorer daily for 2 years straight. I found that the the blade just isn't long enough for prepping food, which is my main use for a daily carried pocket knife.

I work an office job with dress slacks, but started carrying a 111mm daily about 4 months ago. I find the extra blade length to be about perfect for my needs. Don't carry bigger than a Forester daily as the weight does increase. I find that a 111mm rests in bottom of dress pants and jeans well. Can also slip a 111mm into coin pocket of Wrangler jeans. And on weekends carpenter pockets work great.

I am considering getting rid of my 91mm at this time that aren't favorites and just going with the 111mm for the most part. I believe I will hang into my 94mm although heavy.

I'd carry a 111mm much more frequently if they didn't run afoul of local laws. Those laws are one reason I'll be moving this year.

Is the blade length the issue?

internet search says the blade length is 3.4 inches

I never thought about the legality of a SAK in the US, but I suppose I should

I find that the Cowboy sits really comfortably in my front pocket. It is so light and slim that I totally forget about it. I'm aware that it is not the preferred SAK for everybody since it has too few tools for many people's needs. To me, it has what I need most of the time.

I have grown to really like the 111 mm. The Cowboy and the Workchamp are two of my most used tools. It's funny, since they are on either end of the spectrum regarding the amount of tools, which they have.

The Workchamp just lays around on the kitchen table all the time and I use it daily for all kinds of tasks. From food preparation to hair pulling, scissors jobs and everything in between.

My Workchamp sees a good bit of use here too.  It fits my hand well and has a great toolset.
