If you can stretch to a new purchase check out The Bushcraft Store's UK legal Boar range.  The smaller variants have either flat or scandi blades, a good strong backspring and come in either micarta, curly burch, Turkish walnut handles. The non-locking UK legal version is what drew me to it.

I bought a scandi blade version for bushcraft as I really only wanted to travel with a legal blade and I have really been very pleased with it, so much so, that it has become my "go to" knife for outdoor work.

If you buy used try to get a mark 2 version, as it has a nail nick in the blade, whereas the earlier ones don't.

Here's a link to the version I bought  :salute:

That’s a very strange thing to say, alarm bells are ringing.
I don't claim to know it all, but what I do know is right.

I don't think it was clear enough that you were looking for a second hand knife. I didn't realise either.

what's that? If someone had a second hand knife suitable, surely buying off a forum member would be better. Money in their pocket rather than a large company......

You're reading too much into that Toshy, I don't think anything was meant by that.
