Old multitools, just some of mine :)
on: January 08, 2009, 05:01:06 PM
here is some of my old multitools....
theyer all german made, but one , but i have some french ones also..
ive also, as well as some weird gadgets and tool like items that dont  feature pliers .. most are from the 50s and 60s.. and all are  carbon steel ..
one i have is  new in the box and about 50 years old :P :D

ps...
oh the ugly  black wrench  thingy on the side is a loggerhead tool, badly made and not very useful, not recomend to buy i got ti for 15$ so no ears shed but it is junk. worse than rubbish made in china.  the wrench head is however very strong, but next to useless.. because of the large head and no opening   cant be used for much at all, knives were  maybe in my experience in knife production, 38-40 rockwell :P and  looked like they had been ground on a rely defective machine,  but i will review this knife in another post and unvail all its horrid defects..

I love these sorts of threads.

The quirky and obscure tools appeal to me.  Afterall, how many Surge, Charge, SwissTool and SwissChamp threads can one read in a unit of time?

I'd love to read about some of these in their own respective threads.   :tu:

Very nice old collection there. I really dig seeing the older ones. How do you find the Fishermans friend for quality?

Great collection ausjulius!! :tu:

Aren't those old fishing tools fascinating? I love looking at all the different variations. (15 or 20 different models!) It seems like the only common factor is that they were made in Solingen Germany.

This one is my favorite:

It has a tape measure and a fish weight scale in one handle.  :D
In order to be certain of having the right tool for every job.........one must first acquire a lot of tools

Sweet!  Those tools would be fun to have on display somewhere.  Forget paying hundreds of dollars for a fake, Steampunk ray gun; those are honest to goodness, working props that look like they come from a mad scientist's lab.  Very nice!
