Hello, I think it doesn't matter if there's the slot to guide the spring.
Screw or rivet, If you ever find yourself adjusting the tightness of your scissors, you've got some soul searching to do.
I gotta search anyway. Lost mine ages ago.
Fair enough.I had to re-peen an s18 once, and still haven't figured out what I did to mess up the rivet in the first place.
Had to vote for the new one as I’ve not had one fail on me yet and the guide slot does improve the reliability - I’ve had to re-peen the screws on both knives that have them, and the eyeglass screwdriver got used frequently to tighten up the scissors screw on my golfer/compact!
Thank you for your opinions! At least, new rivet is not worse, good to know.I found interesting item of Ambassador. It comes with screw AND has groove. Blade is stamped "rostfrei".
Got new Ambassador with rivet. Scissors are tight. They don’t open by themselves to the full angle. I have to help them with finger.Could you please check video is it OK?
Interesting topic Dayday In my opinion the new pivot style ones are great... mostly. However, I've got problems with at least 2 of my newer SAKs with a too tight pivot, and I couldn't get them loosen up at all. On the Deluxe Tinker the pliers are the same.I'm ignoring them ever since, and hope I'll not run into that problem ever again. It's the first thing I check on a new SAK.My vote goes to the Screw
