My lanyard solution
on: September 13, 2020, 05:55:53 AM
Really I prefer pocket clips, but as we all know the traditional style tools don't have them. So absent that I use a lanyard to be able to retrieve them more easily. I've found though, the lanyard can occasionally get in the way, and after a particularly dirty usage I have to struggle to remove them before I can drop the tool in my sonic cleaner.

Just found these little clips so I started doing this.

As you can see I get the advantages of the lanyard and giving me something to grab when I pull it out of the holster or my pouch organizer, but can remove it super easily if it's in the way or for cleaning.

Nice solution.  I like it.

Nice solution for a quick-release lanyard. Where did you find the little 8-shaped parts you use to attach the split ring to the multitool?

If you're asking for the clip, it is kind of somethimg like this:

https://www.aliexpress.com/i/4000020088967.html

But if it is the ring attachment to the tool, that was OE on OG Leatherman tool series PST/PSTII/Super Tool/Flair. Hope this answers your question. :tu:

:like: what he said. I used a little split ring for fishing line to loop through the OE attachment point. Then the clips I listed above clip to that.
