Dunc gets more Leathermans

Well I got a Blast the other day in a trade with Dave and now I've got a PST and two , yes two Sideclips from a trade with cgjones  :D

The PST doesn't have any date stamps and the Sideclips are dated  ( remember each handle is made up of two parts so each sideclip has four dates on it ) 0498 and 0398 and the other is 0997 0198 1297 1097 so I guess they are early ones . I'm so pleased with them . Until recently I never considered a Sidclip but they are a cracking multitool .

Nice.

That's a later version of the PST.  Earlier versions (like my original PST) had a slightly different and less robust phillips driver.

I love the side clip. Very basic and very functional. I wish the drivers locked but I understand the value of simplicity also. I may need to look into getting one again. :multi:

Another plus is they are EDC Legal in the UK  :D

Nice! :tu: Maybe I'll get a sideclip someday, as I think they were a great tool. It's another one on the "why-the-heck-did-you-retire-it!" list.. For now I just have to live with my kick...

Love the sideclip. It is my Sunday go to meeting with the one layer SAK alox. I love the bantam and the Sideclip as a combo carry.

Great pictures Dunc. I especially like the first Sideclip photo with the clampack inserts as a background.

Thanks for the pretty pics Dunc  :tu:  I like the look of the Sideclip. 

Actually I like the look of a lot of things but I'll be good and have a play with everyone's tools at the meet before I start getting rash with the cash :)

Maybe because of the thicker steel in the handle? Thicker is good, because the handle doesn't dig into your palms when squeezing the pliers shut like on a PST. However maybe the thicker steel was difficult for Leatherman's stamping dies to form into a full channel shape, so they made it in two halves.
