My Father has always been an outdoors guy, from his favorite hobbies of hunting and fishing to his lifelong career of owning his own construction company.  Looking back though I never remember him carrying a knife other than when hunting.  A few years back we were on a fishing trip, keep in mind this was several years after I had already taken the headfirst dive down the SAK collecting rabbit hole, and I gifted him a SAK Climber in a Vic Cordura sheath to use on the trip.  He took such a liking to it while we were there that I dont believe he has left his house without it since!!

I live in Michigan and he is (kinda) retiring in Idaho.  They come back and visit a few time a summer so I always make sure I stock up on replacement scales/toothpicks/tweezers and when they visit I always give his Climber a good overhaul if needed so he heads home with a brand new looking machine!  :salute:

Even though I doubt he will ever grace our presence here in this forum, my old man is now a SAK Knight for life.
Once you go SAK, you'll never go back.

About a year ago I bought Mrs Surge a Classic SD Alps Cheese (for her keychain)

We took it off for a recent trip to Italy in case it was confiscated at either airport and replaced it with a standard black one.
I'm happy to report that it flew through both airports (LHR & MPX)

I will place it back on her keychain for her Xmas trip back home (I'm working  )

Her mother also "liberated" the black Spartan that I'd left in the apartment in Nice and took it back to Italy.

I guess that counts as two  :tu:

They don't like it up 'em!

Oh I agree on both accounts.  Well done and greats SAKs with such fun scales.  I think fun scales can make a big difference for a first SAK for those who would be less likely to carry one.

Update to my original post.

My friend Iris sent me this pic during the week and after telling her that our boss has bought two pioneer x winter magic, won’t be at all surprised to receive another pic soon!
