Brass Scale thickness
on: September 21, 2020, 11:56:01 PM
I'm a newbie with some 84MM and 91MM SAK's I would like to recover with Brass scales. I'd like to keep them linerless and pinned like an Alox SAK. Do you think 3/64" (1.27MM) brass sheet is too thin without a liner?

What thickness do modders  like @Jspiggle or @Syph use?

I've just finished a 93mm alox mod.  I used 3mm thick brass.  I think i could have got away with 2mm but I don't think I'd go thinner.

Good to know! I just ordered some 1.64 mm brass to try out (and some carbon fiber too!) - If it seems to thin I can exchange it for 2mm
