Been looking at the Magic Winter X as has just started to appear here in the “land down under”, it is more than double the price of a Pioneer X Alox here, With 10K produced is it expected to appreciate in value? Just found a “Davy’s Gray” at similar price which seems like better proposition?

I only buy (collect? Hoard!?) Vic knives that I like, and I don’t see them as investments...... But that’s just me. If you like it, buy it, otherwise pass.

A Davy's Grey is desirable and beautiful.
I'd get both. :D

Although, I am due to visit the London Vic' store next Saturday so who knows...

Well, I went to the Vic' store and, despite having good nose about, no PXmas to be found  :dunno:

Nothing else to inspire me so, I left empty handed  :ahhh

Still, that's £70 in my pocket, not theirs  :pok:

They don't like it up 'em!

Ooof... what kind of magic is this Winter Px thingy?

:ahhh
...and will they do all four seasons? I think they'd have to, right?

Any suggestions?  :pok:

Hey Chaps

Is this the first ever 93mm model with non-ribbed Alox scales?   ???

I'll also ask this question in the alox thread!

Joined the club. Are these mostly sold out now? Don’t see them on Vic US or SMKW site any more.

They were unavailable on the UK site a few weeks ago, so it looks as though they are becoming scarce now.

Stock has just arrived in South Africa...one rare advantage of being and the end of the queue when it comes to global supply chain.

If this thread isn't the epitome of enabling then I am not looking hard enough.  I am not an Alox collector nor collector of LE SAKs BUT I did have a peek to see where these magnificent SAKs were avail

See, you did need it after all  ;).

And yes, it's a real beauty, and knowing that Victorinox only changes the pattern on their alox scales once in a blue moon, it's bound to be "special" for years to come...

Edit: and I don't know if this has been said here before, but I do like the grip on these handles. I mean, they even feel to offer more grip than the regular alox scales (I did only handle mine for 10 minutes or so, then misses TG-24 wrapped them in wrapping paper because they are a Christmas gift from her for me).

Horrible :ahhh

But they do have a great feel to them.
Checked one under the jeweler's lens this morning and the size of those small dots keep amazing me.

Collected today

Quick snap before being wrapped for Christmas  :D

The scale texture and colour is amazing - I think Victorinox have done well on this release.
