I am mortified by the loss of my good friend Aaron Thomas, aka Swiss Man here on the forum, and who has been known for many years as the SOSAK HITman.
The name is a joke, since he is (was now I guess) a Highway Incident Technician- a dream job for many of us. He was paid by his state to cruise the highways in Indiana and help people in need.
He passed away last July, and, while I had noticed that I hadn't heard from him for a while, I was too distracted to look into it. I don't know what's worse- the loss of a very good friend, or having missed noticing the loss of a very good friend.
This is devastating news, even if it isn't technically "news" but even so, I'm feeling horrible empty inside today.
I have sent a message to his wife, apologizing for not being in touch sooner, and for the loss of a guy that was larger than life in so many ways.
RIP HITman- while it may not be obvious, I have been missing you.
