The first handgun I ever bought for myself after I turned 21 was a blue steel 4 inch Ruger GP-100.  I still have it and enjoy it 32 years later.  There's nothing quite like a nice solid chunk of American steel barking out some heavy magnums with a big fireball out the front. :cheers:

Thanks guys.
Perhaps surprising, but the huge Walker designed to drop a horse or rider at 100 yards is really nice to shoot. Unloaded weight of some 2 kilos, heavy 9 inch barrel and Colts great trigger combined with slow burning black powder makes for a pleasant if not rapid (by modern standards) shooting iron.
