I have only lost one bid, and that was my first time bidding. It was a Wenger Minotaur with a Leatherman Micra thrown in for good measure. After that…I have never lost a bid.

That's not always a good thing, could mean you're paying way too much.

I only bid what I am comfortable with. I have gotten quite a few great deals. I have never won anything and felt I had overpaid. What I don't like are the last minute snipers that always seem to boost the price up that little bit more at the end.

Get used to that as most people will do that and there is even sniper software that whacks a bid in at the very last second for you.
