Schrade multitool production mistake?
on: October 23, 2020, 07:54:00 PM
I've had this Schrade multitool for around 15 years (I believe it's the Series 2 ST1 model). I always thought it was weird that it had two identical large flathead tools, but never really thought too much about it. I started looking back at the history of these tools and noticed that every other multitool like this only has one large flathead and the other one is a scraper tool.

Anyone ever see this before? Possibly an error in production?

Hi and welcome to the forum !

Most likely a mistake in assembly, we've seen it before on a Leatherman tool. Cool piece !   :tu:

I have a Gerber with 2 Phillips drivers. I always thought of it as a Friday evening production tool.  :D
A little Leatherman information.

I've seen a pic of a Leatherman Wave (on this site) that the internal tools on both sides were the same.  Weird.
