I do love my outrider but if they ever come out with one with a one hand opening blade and liner lock I'll be all over it.  Lack of scissors is keeping me from that skipper.

Hear ye  hear ye.
Article the first.
Let it be officially known hereby and forthwith that I  definitively and enthusiastically encourage Greg to get a spiffy new camo skipper in time for the challenge .
Article 2
In the spirit of MTO , he should  get at least 2.  And different colours. And spares.  And similar models  just to try out.

Maybe you could reverse-mobilize him, by getting one first.... :pok:  Yes, you may not need it, but I thought we are way past that. >:D

Good looking knife, regardless.

Not that Greg needs one. He doesn't. And I certainly don't need to see more picture or uses.

 :iagree:

That's probably why Greg isn't getting one, too.

Me, I'd pair the Skipper with an Ambassador or Classic. That way I'd have a small plain edge blade and scissors in a small form factor and then the bigger toolset of the Skipper for more demanding tasks. I really like the look of the Marlin spike/shackle wrench. I think it would be very handy for tying knots in fishing and boating situations. And I love the pliers for light fishing. So useful.

But, like Greg, I can probably get by without one.   :tu:

But you shouldn't.  It's a wonderful knife and your life would be better for having one in it .

Greg, stop being a bad example for this fine chap - get yourself one so he can be inspired by your decisive action and great style choices

Speaking of the Skipper, that's going to be my primary carry for this Challenge.  I wish mine had the cool Camo scales!

Looking at them I'm not sure the Camo is worth the extra cost  :dunno:

But it is cool looking camo.

You’re probably right, but that all depends on your definition of “worth it”.

Then again, I am the person who has scale-less Tinkers that have never been used, just because I wanted the exclusive scales.
