The generous GAW from Nix arrived today, I didn't know sport jelly beans existed, but now I have an excuse to eat sweets when I weight lift  :ahhh

I've never had an Alox Classic before but I absolutely love it and despite the propaganda, the Style isn't so bad! It'll find pride of place in a little kit, thank you very much again Nix  :hatsoff:

I like keeping some of those with me on hot sweaty hikes or bike rides. Nice way to rehydrate and get a few electrolytes in the system. Like Gatorade in a jelly bean.   :D

Hot and sweaty hikes you say... I thought that was condensation on the packets :pok:

With ease  :ahhh

The misleading thing is it makes you think you're meant to open it from the file side, which is a bad design, but scissor side I'm okay with. It has the gen 1 files which was a pain in my Style PS too, but they updated the file and now the nail nick sits on sterile metal instead of the file surface itself

In aid of making this little guy a bit more accessible I did start some modding though  :tu:

I’d never heard of sport beans either- interesting!

Day 30

We’ve had some warmer weather the last week or so, the sap was even running last week! A sure sign spring is around the corner. So it was a bit of a shock to wake up to -16 when I went out to take the girls to school!

And a bonus pick, my last poker face influenced purchase!  I can’t remember who now, but someone had a Fällkniven folder. So of course I had to visit the site, and the PC knives  are being discontinued and are half price (the green one).
And then the special edition U2 for this year is Sagittarius, and being one of course I couldn’t resist. They are really, really nice. The PC is a liner-lock and 100mm folded. The U2 is smaller at 86 mm.  Both have a laminated steel. They are a bit pricey, even at half off, but the quality is obvious. They also have these cute little knife stands

Thanks guys!

The U2 is a great little knife!

Sure seems like it so far!  I think I'll add a short lanyard to the hole.  The handle is short, my pinkie doesn't have a place.  interesting compared to the Meerkat - both handles are the same length but because of the curved shape on the meerkat there is a place for the pinkie to rest

I should be able to get to the shop for another memory card this weekend.  That's another expense directly related to MTO. Memory cards used to last me years and since becoming a member here I take so many pictures I need to replace a card every few months.  I'm not filling them and archiving the cards or I'd need to keep a stash on hand. I delete the pictures after I download them to my computer and reuse the cards until they just stop working.  Always in the middle of a challenge too. :twak:

If you were tempted at full price...
it’s 1/2 price now. Still not cheap.
I was out burning some old files today and didn’t have a saw with me. I wasn’t planning on burning wood so I didn’t take one. I did need to take some branches off a “poking stick”. The wood was green and I couldn’t snap it off, I used the pc as a saw, worked great!
