What Do I Need
on: September 14, 2020, 04:05:03 PM
Have used different multi tool's over the years but I am now in search of a specific one.
Have had a couple of Leathermans ,Gerber's ,Swiss tool & plenty of SAK's/Wenger's.
At the moment just carry a 2 layer Ask or a DeWalt multi tool .
So what I am looking for is a plier based multi tool with scissors, knife, flat & crosshead screwdriver.
Not bothered if the screwdriver s are combined bottle/can openers.
If it could be light weight & the length of a Gerber Suspension.
I have tried searching in the UK, but can't seem to find something this basic.
So any recommendations on what I should go for.
Thanks in advance.

Juice S2.

This.
Flatheads are known to bite you whe. Opening them, and the drivers don'lock open, but neither does the blade so it's UK legal both in length and non lockingness.

Why not go with a Spirit?

Thanks for all replies.
Had an original PST,so not keen on the PST 2.
Squirt to small
Juice just a little smaller than I want.
I have a Swiss tool Spirit. Fantastic tool & I don't think mine has ever been out of the box.
So if I could find a cheap battered one, then that would be perfect. So if anyone has a battered one cheap I would be interested as it is to be used
Otherwise possibly the Rebar.

Thanks again everyone.

The SOG Paratool woukd also tick all the boxes and is slightly smaller and lighter than a Spirit, and you can easily play LEGO with it

Well.finally got what would fill what I needed.

Went for a Gerber Tread.
Looks similar to a suspension but lighter.
Pliers based with only crosshead & flat head screwdriver's.
Scissors & a half serrated knife on one side.
Within the other side of handle is a torch .

This is all I need,so thanks to everyone for their suggestions.

Something different...I’ve found that a SAK / Knipex combo answers my needs. Knipex has amazing gripping strength and adjustable gape that will match most MTs. And only weighs 88g. I pair it with a SAK as needed.  :salute:

Which SAK did you choose? I noticed that one has a corkscrew so no backside Phillips driver. Explorer?
The right tool is the one you have on you
