maybe the Australian dollar went down in value, thus making it cheaper in actual terms?
From our end of the spending, it would have to go up in value. I'm not sure that it is relevant to the consumer though, as the importer-to-retailer price list is published annually, so fluctuations are on the Importer's end (I imagine the importer pays the price for the order depending on value of dollar the day the order is raised, although it may be on the invoice date)
Silly "saving" image aside, that is not a bad price locally for a Rebar (assuming the seller is a real seller that has them in stock and not some mystery online reseller than doesn't actually stock anything, and has no capacity to deal with after sales service/warranty)
