That's a good question, I used to read that on SAKwiki, but in fact, all the blades(13 if I have counted correctly) are all sharpened.  Maybe it varies from Giant to Giant?

FB, could you please check are all the blades on your Giant sharpened too?  :pok:

Interesting, thanks!

Even Neil (I miss him!) said the blades are not sharpened: https://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,23931.msg438008.html#msg438008

Day 27

I have seen videos using the corkscrew to untie knots, I thought I would give it a whirl due to a very tough knot in my boot laces, eventually I got it but I did find it much more difficult then what I have seen, possibly because the knot was very tight  :dunno:

I did it a few times, worked ok for me. You have to keep your expectations in check though. It's not as if the knot will just fall apart at the touch of the corkscrew. After screwing it in, you have to tug and wobble quite a bit before a tight knot will give in. Still a lot better then doing it with your fingers, at least in my opinion.

Hmmm...but youtube reviewers always have a way to try to 'look good' in front of the camera, so it's probably never as easy as it's seen.  But I think the point maybe was to use the pointy part to loosen different part of the knob little by little, just enough to get the process going?

Yeah I definitely agree with that. I tried that slow and steady approach and it finally worked just took some time  ???

Thanks Simon! Yes definitely better than fingers, I think it also came down to how tight the knot was which made it more time consuming and tedious  :hatsoff:

I hear that quite often too, but my copy surely is sharp as a tack!

Let's see whether FB's copy is sharp as well...kinda curious. :pok:

Day 28

Though I have been using the Giant for last few weeks, I haven't really gotten a chance to sit down and try to learn every tool I got on the Giant.  So today I did just that.

I think the purpose of Giant is to demonstrate the vast diversity of tools from Wenger, but having said that, cross checking it with all the tools listed on SAKwiki has shown not every tools Wenger ever made for 85mm is actually present.  In fact, many 'speSmurfpillst tools' are not included.  Some of the speSmurfpillst tools I really have absolutely no idea what's that for, unless looking them up online or I am in that hobby.  For example, I would have no idea this tool is for the shotgun choke tube.

Though I don't ever use this tool, I did guess right about this being a thread depth gauge.

This tool is never listed on SAKwiki, but I have guessing it's the #58 Special Military Screwdriver?  :pok:

What do you all think?  Is it #58 or is it something else?

Very interesting. Wenger went a bit over the top with their SAK tools, in a mad scientist kind of way. I respect that :hatsoff: Still, I am more the Victorinox kind of guy.
