Wal-Mart Christmas knives for 2020 are here!
on: November 06, 2020, 08:51:17 PM
I haven't succumbed to their succubus song in some years now but they called to me today.  For just $4.98 they have EDC fixies! I bought this 7 inch knife (3 inch blade and 4 inch handle) in stainless but the same knife is available with stonewashed blade and all black handle.  For the price it can be carried, used and abused without much worry, and the quality is usually at least halfway decent.

Haven't shown up here yet.
Some of the Ozark Trail knives aren't too bad.

Out of curiosity I wonder who is making these?  We've seen some good makers from over seas and if the heat treat is done right it should be a great all around do anything knife.   :tu:.  Heck for the cost you can practice throwing knives too

I wonder if these can be ordered online? I'd probably buy 5-6 for various jobs. This knife is just right, and I like the polymer sheath.

In Canada, Walmart is pretty neutered as in no knives, guns, or ammunition to purchase..

Not only were they here and on display already which is way earlier than usual, but the display had been pretty well picked over and was already half empty.  I hope they get more.  What they haven't put out yet are the gift sets from Gerber, CRKT, Buck, and SOG.  I really am looking forward to what those companies have to offer this year.

last year they had a kershaw set with a few knives and torx tool with bits for $15-$20ish I cant remember. But I got it for beating on and the torx bits, but after I used the torx tool a few times one of the bits wedged it self in the tubular handle they get stored in, so I had to cut the aluminum tube with a pipe cutter to salvage the bits.

The knives in the set were nothing spectacular, 1 speedsafe, and 2 smaller manual knives, all 3 had nylon washers.

I found an MossyOak and Ozark Trail pallet display that didnt look much diffrent from last year. Both Kershaw and Gerber have a 3 pack of their bargan single blade folders.

The only interisting thing was a Mossy Oak angler kit with a folding fillet knife and a multitool that had a couple unusual fishing oriented tools ( scissors and a folding ruler)

Well, our Wally World finally got them in.  Picked up one of the ball bearing folders and the black handle fixed.
Haven't got around to opening the fixed because I'm having too much fun playing with the folder.
