In appreciation of the Wave... I think the OG Wave, along of course with the PST, for me anyway are hands down the two most important plier based multitools ever. They are the Star Wars and Empire Strikes Back of the multitoolverse. Edit: I wonder what would be Critters?
I have an 0501 in pristine condition. Is that still in 1st gen or second? I love mine blade was scary sharp out of the box! I%u2019ve been thinking of modding; I never use the serrated blade and would prefer a metal saw; would love a multi bit.
What about the Supertool?
Hello TeamI have at least one 98 Wave at home. Bought my second LM in 98 when the Wave came out. It has seen many many miles and one of the bodies has been replaced at at some stage so one date is wrong. . I had her when I met Tim 2 years ago so he has done his engraving trick and she is now a shelf queen. I only due home in about 4 hours and will add pics then. I also have an original box/packaging. In the meantime I am waiting for the daughter to finishing swimming training so have had to head for some solace down at the nearest .
Hello home at last. I have my OG Wave, one body has a date 1098 and the other body was replaced in 0504.One of the pics is self explanatory and it is the same 1098 body that is engraved. The other body I have from a Wave I used for parts and that has a date stamp 0998. May need to put it all back together unless there is a nice needy home ? The last pic is a box from that time that LMs used to come in. This box has a tool but it is a 04 tool I think. I think my OG Wave came in a very similar box,
One of my first waves was like a ballisong knife. It used to clack when I walked.
I think - this is just my opinion - the Supertool is a (very good) evolutionary step from the PST, and a natural progression in design terms. However, when the Wave hit the scene it was a massive leap in design with clever and very desirable elements never seen on a mainstream multitool before - it was jarring, It was a proper Whoa, what is that? and everybody (as in geeky techies) wanted one. I can still vividly remember the shop displays and windows at the time featuring it centrestage... I'm telling ya, it was Empire Strikes Back.

Which LM is the star wars holiday special?
That's gotta be the Flair.
should I start celebrating now.
Well... debatable, you don't know what's in my Fuzzy Bag.
I am not fuzzy about things.. Maybe an OG wave will do, along with the bit adapter will you're at it. Actually cash sound pretty good too.
