Strange Handyman?
on: November 23, 2020, 10:07:33 PM
I picked this up recently from a dealer who I have purchased a number of rare and interesting SAKs before.

It has the front tools of an original Handyman, with the scaler; but it has the back tools of a modern Handyman, with the hook.  The main blade is signed "SWS".

Any idea what this odd one is?  A transitional Handyman, or something made for a special purpose, or company?

Thanks for looking!

Looks like a custom order. Nice tool config!
And it looks exactly like one I just saw on Facebook :)

I posted this same knife in the FB group earlier, haha.  I do hope to see some others, though!

Everything I can see looks correct for 1999 construction.

‘Retro-Handyman’ certainly makes sense as an advertising knife.
