Welcome Mark

It would seem we are almost polar opposites, just not geographically

I live in an urban town centre and wouldn't even know where to start with your lifestyle  :dunno:

We don't have bears (except in zoos)  :ahhh :ahhh :ahhh
We don't have wolves but one of the neighbours has a Jack Russell that enjoys a lot of anger  :twak:

The only salmon and shrimps I find are in the deli

It's a broad church this place  :tu:

Enjoy your new home from home  ;)

I've watched the shows ( scripted and all ) with how some subsistence live and while it can be empowering to watch I enjoy going to the market for my food.  I wouldn't mind a small stretch out there to learn and further appreciate how food gets to my table.

Welcome aboard, my wife and I have always wanted to go up to Alaska and thought of moving there once, my grandfather was actually stationed up there somewhere at a Air Force base,,

welcome mate
Solving problems you didn't know you had in the most obscure way possible

"And now, it's time to hand this over to our tame race axe driver. Some say, he can live in the forest for six months at a time without food, and he knows of a secret tribe of only women where he is their God. All we know is, he's call the Styx!" - TazzieRob

I have many others, but the ST300 is what I carry for Alaskan sized jobs.
