Hey folks,

This is my first challenge,  so let me get this straight.   Our Delemont SAK choice is the ONLY knife we can use?  No fixed blade or folder?

Thanks Antti, makes sense. :tu:

I usually carry a folder and fixed blade around the house and use/rotate them all during the day just because I enjoy them,  and use them for different tasks.  SAK for non-messy food, fixed for messy food, folder for packages.....etc

Will feel strange only having my EvoGrip S18 on me for the most part....     :climber:

Thanks Antti :iagree: :tu:

Also feel free to swap about your Delemonts if you have them and glamour shots very welcome

This challenge is as much a celebration of Wenger and VIC Delemonts as it is a use challenge.
I’ve a few oldies I won’t be using but will be posting pictures of, really looking forward to seeing some rarities and unusual models we no longer often see being long out of production

Having said that when and where you can please try to use your Delemont in the first instance but no worries if you need a PBMT or fixie, good to know why the SAK didn’t work for the job but no pressure

Thanks everyone for signing up, only 10 more days :woohoo: :woohoo:

I found what I believe to be a Commander going online, so I've now added that to the collection. Although looking at SAK Wiki I'm not sure if it's the basic/budget version or not? :dunno:

Either way, I've got a bit of a line-up to choose from now. :D

Nice acquisition Michael, looks like a Commander to me too :like:

I’ve had 3 of them but none with a logo so that’s a score in itself. Can’t see T&T although that might be the pics and logo looks printed so would say it’s the Basic 07 version

Cheers mate. Definitely no T&T, the printed logo was what made me think. Either way, it's a nice find and a sharpen and oil will put it in good nick for using. :)

How can I tighten a scissors screw on my Wenger Master?
https://www.sakwiki.com/tiki-index.php?page=Master

It's a tiny flathead screw, but no matter how much I tighten the screw, snipping a couple of times with the scissors, the screw becomes loose again. :-\

I've had the same issue on old Wenger scissors, which I solved with a tiny drop of thread locking compound (super glue also works).

Or maybe a drop of nail varnish, to hold it in place.

Or, if you’re feeling brave, a nail punch can help re-snug those screws, but thread lock is much easier…. :tu:

Another vote for threadlock, just make sure that you give it the full 24 hours to cure  :tu:

OK. If it meets the challenge criteria, I'm going to carry this little guy:

I'll post up a pic here tomorrow, though the scissors are... well useless unless you put pressure against the back spring?  They just bind up and stick together, from the feel of the jaws closing the serrations rub too, which doesn't seem the case on larger scissors...

Anyone any ideas how to remedy this?

Sorry to hear this and it does seem to be a common problem for people, I’m afraid I don’t have a solution but hopefully someone will

Don’t know if I’m just lucky but I’ve not really had the issue but it obviously depends what you need to cut

Just tried my Evo14 on a couple of admittedly pretty easy tasks but didn’t have a problem. Toilet roll card, plastic corner from some Duracell’s and survival cord with copper wire running down the middle

Doesn’t help you I’m afraid GearedForwards, what are you trying to cut?

Nothing, I was just closing them on air  :dunno:

I don't have this issue at all in the more 91mmish Evowood
