I've owned very few Wengers and have voiced my dislike for the tools in the 85mm knives for years.  However, I recently came to the realization that the Vic Delemonts actually have fixed some of the gripes I've had with them--namely the reamer/punch, can opener w/small screwdriver and sharper saw.  I suppose SAK guys should no longer be pining for the days of the 84mm w/scissors or saw now that we have the Delemonts.  Maybe I can't really complain about them anymore.

A challenge it will be for me, but I think I'll pull it off with a Soldat or a shiny, new S17 so challenge accepted.

Agree re the 85mm with scissors being essentially what many are looking for in an 84mm X, was saying just that to Huntsman when we met for a beer a few weeks ago.  I know many people prefer Vic scissors to the serrated Wenger, me too, but it’s a close run thing, they’re still very good. The Evo14 is a particularly well rounded model for edc IMO
